Shop Spotlight {Week 1} - Sweet Littles Handmade

Hey guys! I've decided to start doing a weekly shop spotlight and I wanted to kick things off by telling you about one of my absolute favorite shops, Sweet Littles Handmade.

I first found this shop on Instagram in 2013, right after I had Kennedy and was amazed by her handmade dolls.  What made me fall in love was how unique and different they were from anything else I had seen.  I knew I needed to get one of these for Kennedy's first Christmas. I saw she had made a Snow White inspired doll and you all know how I feel about Disney, so I contacted Katy about making a Rapunzel inspired doll.

So turns out I didn't just purchase one doll but now we HAVE at least 8, ranging in sizes from the Sweet Tiny to the Sweet Mini to the Sweet Little.

The Sweet Tiny's are amazing for little hands.  We keep two of them in the diaper bag and Kennedy loves playing with them when we are out and about.

Don't think she just makes dolls for girls, but she makes some amazing dolls for little boys as well, each are unique in their own way.

My current favorites are Sweet Little Cactus Flower, Sweet Little Pirate, and Sweet Little Mermaid, which has an adorable removable mermaid tail.

Through talking to Katy, I learned that her mother and grandmother had taught her how to sew when she was younger and after she had babies she started making them all kinds of littles.  She also began making them for friends and was told she should start selling them.  Her husband has a passion for being a baker, so they came to the decision that he would quit his job and he would follow his dreams.  Money was tight and thats when Sweet Littles Handmade was born.  "I didn't think this would ever become what it has and it is amazing in so many more ways than just financially" said Katy.  She also told me that is a great feeling teaching her kiddos about working, money, donating, loving and creating for others.  Just by looking at her dolls, you can truly see that she adores what she is doing and how much love goes into each doll. I love following her adorable, little family on Instagram.  I can honestly say that I am grateful to call her my friend.

Katy has been so generous to offer the Confetti Babe readers a discount code to use until September 15th.  Start shopping HERE with code "confettibabe".

Let's see your Sweet Little dolls!

Until next time.
